UPDATES

Currently we are busy with our participation in Operation Christmas Child (OCC) through Samaritan’s Purse. Sometimes called “Shoebox ministry.” As the name implies, we have boxes, shaped like shoeboxes that we fill with items for children of different age groups for each gender up to 14. These boxes are then taken to a distribution place and sent to children world wide.  If you would like to be involved, contact us at 608-762-5585 and leave your name and number, we’ll be happy to talk to you about it. There is a deadline, they need to be completed by November 23.

On October 24, we had a tea thanking other churches for partnering with us to raise money for the Maasai Rescue Ministries. Our involvement for this mission came through one of our missionaries, Brenda Anderson. She revealed to us the ongoing practice of female genital mutilation and early forced marriage to young girls of this tribe. It is the mission’s aim to rescue these girls from such practices,  so they can grow up in safety, educate them and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are continuing to support this mission by sponsoring 4 girls. If you would like to know more, stop on out for worship service and stay for fellowship. God has blessed us as we do what we can to help others.

A time to be Thankful and a time for anticipating the Advent season. Our Thanksgiving service will be November 23 at 8:00 am with communion. On November 30 at 8:00 am the first Sunday of Advent will be celebrated, followed by decorating the church for this joyous season.
